Meet Dr. Cathy

Dr. Cathy has been helping people live healthier lives since 1985. Active throughout her childhood and teen years in gymnastics and dance, she developed an interest in weight training as a freshman in high school. Lifting weights in the school gym was usually reserved for the male athletes, so she recruited some of her female classmates and began training them while she developed her physique. Following a suggestion from her mother who had seen an ad for aerobics instructor auditions, she began teaching aerobics in 1988.

While most people her age were busy reading fashion and teen magazines, Dr. Cathy would read every fitness magazine available from cover to cover; her favorite was Muscle & Fitness. In 1992, she began competing in aerobics competitions and in the new field of fitness competitions. By 1995, she had placed in several state and regional competitions, and ranked 15th in the nation for physique in the Ms. Fitness National competition.

Helping people achieve their health goals over the previous 10 years proved to be very rewarding, and she felt a greater calling. Deciding that her life should be spent helping more people on a grander scale, she embarked on a journey that would lead her to Life University in Marietta, Georgia where she earned a Bachelor's in Nutrition and a Doctorate in Chiropractic, graduating second in her class with honors. It was here that she met her soul mate and future husband.

Dr. Cathy has been in private practice since 1999, helping families achieve their wellness goals while raising healthy, un-medicated children. She continues to teach aerobics and provides nutrition and fitness workshops up and down the East Coast of the United States. Often called upon to present to her peers, she is an adjunct faculty at Life University, mentoring and lecturing to students regularly.

Having seen women drift in and out of gyms and wellness lifestyles due to busy schedules, pregnancies and children, she was motivated to be an example of health and fitness when she became pregnant with her first child. Not only did she continue to teach aerobics, weight train and see patients throughout the entire 42 1/2 weeks of her first pregnancy, but she documented most of it and posted some of those videos on YouTube. To date, the original videos on the Doctor Cathy channel have logged well over 2.3 Million views from women all over the world wanting to maintain their own healthy pregnancies. Dr. Cathy's videos have been featured on various web sites in the United States, Poland, Romania, Pakistan, India, China, Italy, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom and Indonesia.
